The Longest Hair Man Died (6.2m) from Vietnam

2010-02-25 - A Vietnamese man who died this week and whose hair was so long it resembled a boa constrictor, may have had the world's longest mane, reports said Thursday.

Officially Xie Qiuping of China is recognized of having the world's longest hair which measures in at 5.627 meters.

Unofficially Tran Van Hay of Vietnam is the record holder at 6.2 meters. Tran Van Hay is still waiting to have the world record authenticated.



Notes: Xie Qiuping began growing her hair in 1973 at the age of 13. Her hair was measured May 08 2004 and she was included in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Tran Van Hay has not cut his hair in 31 years, and is hoping to take over the spot of having the longest hair in the world.
