A SINGAPOREAN man whose girlfriend dumped him after he cheated on her was conned out of RM90,000 after he sought the help of various mediums to cast a love spell on her.
Sin Chew Daily reported that Yew, 37, a medical personnel, had even hired a medium from the United States via the Internet to help him but was cheated of RM71,000 instead.
Yew said the money included the many telephone calls he made to the medium in the past three months and for the purchase of three candles.
He said that when he contacted the US police about the case, he was told it would be difficult to get his money back.
Yew said his girlfriend left him two months ago after being with him for eight years because he cheated on her.
“She forgave me the first time when I was unfaithful. But when I cheated on her again, I hit her during an argument. She left me after that,” he said.
