Pen Fairy in the Movies

 What is Pen Fairy ?

  Photobucket

In case you have no idea of what Pen Spirit or Pen Fairy is all about, it is basically one of the many Chinese methods of summoning the spirit to seek for answers of our own worldly affairs. These spirits can know of the past, present and even predict the future.

Examples of such would be cases of students who seek answers from these spirits concerning their exams, Youngsters asking on matters of the heart, greedy people asking lottery numbers etc.. For the good or bad, for the better or worst it really all depends. There are many factors that can affect it in the process and conclusion. Things can be such as questions that you are asking, if you are sincere and respectful enough towards the spirit as well as if you are following the procedure correctly and many others more. This game takes at least 2 participants to play it. The participants are face each other and placing one of their hands in the front each all holding on gently to the same pen in the middle.

Call upon the pen fairy 3 times and concentrate hard in believe and faith of that the fairy will descent and close your eyes. DO NOT OPEN YOUR EYES !

It can take up to 15 minutes for the summoned spirit to finally descent. The moment your pen starts to move by itself it means that the spirit has arrived. Once the spirit has arrived, you can start asking questions and let the spirit give you the answer as it will write for you.

Bare in mind that your questions are to be as simple and easy as possible. Do not ask anything complicated. When you are done, politely invite the spirit to leave. However, it is inadvisable to play this game. You are dabbling with unknown spirits and you have to answer for the consequences yourself in any events that things go wrong.

The story is about Yoo-Jin, a transfer student from Seoul who, with her two other friends, are constantly being bullied by a few classmates. One night, Yoo-Jin and her friends decide to place a curse on their enemies by creating a Ouija board and start to write the names of the female bullies. Using the Bunshinsaba curse, Yoo-Jin warns the others not to open their eyes until the spell is finished. The calling takes effect, and Yoo-jin, somewhat curious, opens her eyes. To her shock and horror, she sees an image of a pale-like dead girl with long hair beside her. However, that does not stop there.

The next morning when Yoo-jin came into the classroom, she discovers that one of the bullies's corpse on the desk with a burned face. Meanwhile, the school employs a volunteer teacher named Eun Ju Lee, simply known as Ms. Lee, as an art teacher. She starts to call the roll in her class and stumbles on seat number 29 as she mentions the name Kim In-Sook. The students are terrified when they hear the name, and rush out of the classroom as they see her talking to Kim In-Sook.

The only one left is Yoo-Jin, who tells Eun Ju that Kim In-Sook doesn't exist. Eun Ju takes another look at the seat and realizes that there's no name at seat number 29. Suddenly, Yoo-Jin sees a figure on Eun Ju's back. Investigations soon rise as other three bullies die in the same manner. Finally, Yoo-Jin realizes that the spirit Kim In-Sook is possessing her. She killed all of those bullies, even though she doesn't remember doing it. Eun Ju also senses a terrible force surrounding Yoo-Jin as she also starts to feel an unearthly presence within her. Mr. Han, Yoo-Jin's class adviser, decides to help Yoo-Jin by consulting his friend on what causes her to act strangely.

Through hypnotism, they are able to see the past and find out that the spirit possessing Yoo-Jin is that of Kim In-Sook, and have a vision how she was killed. Things get worse when Eun Ju becomes possessed by Kim In-Sook's mother, Chun Hee, who was in fact a reincarnation. Chun Hee and Kim In-Sook were brutally killed by the villagers and before dying, placed a curse that for generations to come, whoever left the village would die.

With Chun Hee finally taking possession of Eun Ju's body, she exacts punishment on the people who wronged them, slaying the school's principal but sparing Mr. Han's life.

Not long after, Eun Ju gives birth to a girl and within that girl's body is the spirit of Kim In-Sook.

Police officer accidentally captured a "ghost" on photo

China Press reported that a traffic police officer accidentally captured a "ghost" on a photo taken during an operation at about 3am on Nov 27 in Ipoh.

The camera could not be used after a few photos were taken.

The officer was shocked to discover one photo with the ghost with long hair in a white dress.

One of the officers said they did not feel anything amiss during the operation.

"However, some motorists looked nervous and sped off once they passed the roadblock. They might have seen something they were not supposed to," said the officer.

Pen Fairies (笔仙) introduction

Photobucket

What Are Pen Fairies?

“pen fairies” are actually a form of mediumship that’s gaining popularity among teenagers. It is believed that through the ritual, spirits/ghosts will be invited to answer questions by the players.

While “pen fairies” are widely regarded as a valid and effective ritual by most, the mention of the “pen fairies” will alarm anyone – lots of rumours describing how one got cursed or possessed after performing the mediumship. It’s agreed that if one does the ritual wrongly, the implications would be terrifying.

There are also other variants, such as “disc fairies (very similar to Oujia boards)” and “chopstick fairies” – while the ritual is performed differently, the principle remains exactly the same.

Requirements

1.There should be at least 2 people involved, as it would be hard to perform the ritual alone.
2.It should be done at night, but not after 12.00am, since it’s believed that the Gate to Hell opens at the stroke of midnight, and “evil spirits” will be temporarily released.
3.A smooth pen/pencil, and a large piece of paper.
4.Faith in the existence of spirits. That means you can’t perform the ritual if you’re a naturalist/sceptic.
5.When the ritual is underway, you must concentrate solely on it.

Procedures

1.Close the lights, and lit a couple of candles.
2.Cross one of your hands with one of the other player’s hand. Note that your arm must not touch the table – you need to have it in mid-air throughout the whole ritual.
3.Put a pen/pencil perpendicular to the table surface in between the 2 hands. Hold it gently.
4.Chant something like: “Come here now, pen fairy” repeatedly. It may take up to 15 minutes, but it depends.
5.Once the pen begins to move, then it is an indication that the pen fairy/spirit has arrived. In case you’re not sure whether it’s really one, you may ask: “Are you a pen fairy? If yes, tick on the paper.”
6.Start asking questions such as “Who are you [the spirit]?”, “Who was I in my previous life?”, “What is my fate?” and so on. The pen fairy will start drawing answers on the paper. However, the questions must be simple, or they won’t work.
7.Once you feel like stopping the ritual, you must ask the pen fairy to go away politely. Do this wrongly, and you’ll get cursed/possessed.

The Dish Spirit (纸碟仙 ) - Procedures and Pointers

by Jona82

碟仙(Die Xian) is known as the Dish Spirit or Saucer Spirit. It is also sometimes called as the Chinese Ouija Board

This article is on Procedures, Process and Pointers to take note of when playing this game

English Translation:

The saucer spirit refers to a spirit which dwells in a saucer. It has neither form nor shape. It attaches itself to the saucer, and it has the ability to foresee the future and look into the past. They are benevolent, but can be mischievous at times. There are things in this world that people don’t know about, or don’t want to encounter. However, these spirits are harmless. Maybe you might want to get to know more about them.

To summon the spirit, time and location is very important. It’s better to choose a relatively clean place, usually at 11pm at night. (Why not 12 midnight? This is because 12 midnight is the time the gates of hell open, when spirits lurk around. Otherwise, you might summon…let’s not talk about that.

Participants: Around 5 or 6. The spirit is summoned using a person’s thoughts [sic]. An ordinary person will have relatively weak thoughts, but it’s a different story when you have special abilities.

Tools: Choose a relatively clean plate, preferably white. Invert the plate over a white sheet of paper, then draw circles according to the wider circumference of the plate, then write “yes”, “no”, and the numbers 1 to 9. Even though the saucer spirit is a spirit, it belongs to the netherworld plane, which is a different world from our mortal plane. Therefore, it can only communicate with us through a solid object, and not by talking (you’ll probably foam at your mouth if it talks to you in the middle of the night)

Let’s start. Sit around the sheet of paper, and place the plate on the sheet of paper. Switch off all the lights, close the door, and open the window. Get everyone to tap their fingers lightly on the plate. Everyone has to start mentally chanting, “spirit of the saucer, I summon thee”. (If any one of them has distractive thoughts, the spirit will not come. Even if something eventually comes, heaven or hell knows what it is.)

How do you tell that the spirit has arrived? If you notice that the plate has started to move slightly, it shows that the spirit has arrived.

Once the spirit is summoned, most people will start asking the spirit its gender, age, and how it died. The spirit will answer. However, such questions must be asked carefully in order not to offend the spirit. Otherwise, trouble may brew. Remember! After that, you can ask anything you want. The spirit can guide you to the answers you desire.

Once the questions are answered, you’ll have to bring the spirit back to its original position. For this step, you'll have to proceed with caution, because any mistake could spell catastrophe. Once you finished asking all your questions, you'll need to chant, “Saucer spirit, we’re done with our questions, you may take your leave!” After that, the spirit will return to its original position, and you can take away the plate and pack up.

When carrying out this mystic ritual, the sheet of paper needs to be as big as a wall calendar. A circle corresponding to the size of the plate has to be drawn in the epicenter of the paper. Draw a skull and a pair of bones in that circle, and write in an orderly manner in the area around the circle, your surname, name, number, colour, and anything else you need to write. The format of the information provided must be clear and distinct.

Saucer spirit – Points to note

Do not take the initiative in asking the spirit to leave. You invited it, so how can a host chase its guest away? If you chase it away, you shall have to bear the consequences.

If you are doing this in summer, if you need to burn mosquito repellent incense or turn on an electric fan, you will need the spirit’s permission. If you take matters into your own hands, you shall have to bear the consequences.

In every session, the spirit will tease a person, and the answers it gives to the person who asks the question will tend to be provocative and teasing in nature. Bad luck if the person is you.

The spirit’s rules will be different in every place. Every situation has to be analyzed accordingly. If you're interested, no harm giving it a try. Their predictions are very accurate.

Take note that there are two major taboos when invoking spirits of pens, saucers, and chopsticks. 1) Do not ask them about their grievances. 2) Do not ask them about how they died. You’re getting yourself into trouble.

Even though the spirit of the plate is friendly, but the spirit you summon may not necessarily be it. So, good luck to you. Try to restrict your questions to those with yes or no answers, and numbers. That will make communication a lot easier. That's up to you.

Saucer spirit - Warnings

Such a game is dangerous. The probability of summoning demons is higher than that of summoning benevolent spirits. Please don’t try this for the purpose of testing your luck, or you may regret it.

  1.  All players must make an oath whatever the answer will be from the game will be kept only among themselves and this secret must never be leaked or the person will be cursed
  2.  When inviting the Spirit, invert the dish/saucer facing up , everyone to place 1 finger at the the back of the dish/saucer , announcing your own name and respectfully invite the spirit to arrive.
  3. Once the dish/saucer has some reactions by itself, feel free to ask questions but however, remember not to ask regarding the spirit's background
  4. the dish/saucer will move and when it stops the word that the arrow is pointing is the answer.
  5. After you are done asking, respectfully request the spirit to leave and after the spirit has left you can remove your finger.

Saucer spirit - Process

Little big man

Another great case from The Survival Top 40 is the James Leininger reincarnation case. This story is sufficiently well known that I don't think I need to summarize it; anyway, Miles Edward Allen's excellent summary is readily available at this link (PDF).

Besides the strongly evidential value of James' statements about the plane he piloted, the ship he flew from, the names of his fallen comrades, etc., there are three aspects of the case that strike me as particularly interesting.

First, little James showed strong emotions when remembering his past life as a pilot. The whole episode began with James' nightmares, in which he struggled and screamed in bed. Whatever he was experiencing was obviously vivid and terrifying. Moreover, he showed flare-ups of righteous indignation that would seem more appropriate for a WWII flier than a two-year-old. As Miles Edward Allen recounts, when James identified his ship as the Natoma, his father replied that the name sounded Japanese. "Little James grew indignant and said no. It was American!" It's certainly credible that a patriotic serviceman would have that reaction; after all, it was the Japanese who shot him down. James, on the other hand, was probably too young to know or care about the Japanese through his own personal experience.

Second, James' description of the downed pilot, given while he was in the throes of his nightmare, was "Airplane crash! Plane on fire! Little man can't get out!" I don't know if this has been commented on by others, but I couldn't help wondering why James would describe the pilot as a "little man." After all, the pilot was a full-grown adult, considerably larger than James, a toddler. It occurred to me that the description would make sense if the pilot were viewed from a distance - that is, from an external vantage point. Looking down (say) on the struggling pilot in the cockpit, one might very well see him as a "little man." Such a perspective is commonly reported in NDEs and OBEs, when a person rises out of his body and looks down on himself from a height. There have also been reports of "dual consciousness" in such situations, where the person is simultaneously looking at his body from an external perspective and still experiencing the pain or anxiety of his physical body. If James was in fact remembering an event from a former life, it is possible that he was reliving the pilot's experience of separating from his dying body while still maintaining some connection to it. Naturally James was much too young to have been exposed to NDE literature or influenced by it.

Man who lost money in casino said he saw Kumantongs in casino

Previous article: An Introduction on Guman Thong (Child Spirit) of Thailand

A 58 year old man claimed that he got Yin-yang eye. He claimed that when he was playing in RWS casino last month, he saw Kumantongs playing with the roulette, causing him to lose $1000. After that he complained to RWS people and asked them to return him his money. They took down his complaint and personal details.

On Nov 28, he went back to casino, but the people there told him he has been blacklisted.

The casino confirmed that the man has indeed been blacklisted under the "Person Non Grata" (PNG) list. People who have violated casino rules or create a nuisance would be blacklisted.

SAF Stories The Chinese Dish Spirit ( 纸碟仙)

By the SAF Regular

I was in the army 30 years ago and being an Officer, I stayed in the army camp with a room of my own. As the camp was pretty far from the city, the evenings can be quite boring with nothing to do but watch TV or do some readings. My camp did not have many recreational facilities for the soldiers.

One evening, being bored, I decided to take a look into my platoon’s sleeping bunk to find out what my men were doing. As I stepped into their large bunk where 30 men or more shared the place, I saw a group of them were surrounding a table. There were three seated and looked like playing ‘a game’. Being curious, I walked towards the table to find out what was the fun.

Photobucket

One of my men who was standing next to the table told me that the three of them were communicating with a spirit via a dish. As this was my first encounter with such a ‘ridiculous’ claim, I naturally disbelieved it. What I saw was the three of them had to place one of their fingers onto a small dish that was overturned. The dish has a small black arrow on it. The dish was placed onto a large sheet of paper that was printed with many small Chinese characters. The dish was placed onto the center of the paper and one of them has to invite a spirit to enter into their realm. Questions can then be asked and the dish will start gliding until it stops. The character where the arrow points to is the answer.

Photobucket

What I thought was the three of them must be ‘pushing’ the dish or else how could the dish be moving along on the sheet of paper? When I showed my disbelief to the men, they invited me to experience it for myself. I was eager to prove them wrong and so I sat down and the ‘test’ began. In order to ensure that no one in the ‘game’ knew the answer, I decided to ask the spirit what was my surname in Chinese character. The dish started to move. As my finger was on the dish, I could sense that no one was pushing it. It just glided with a feel of floating as it moved. I began to feel uneasy with this sense of dish movement.

Pig born without back legs learns to walk upright on his front legs in China

(Picture: Quirky China News/Rex Features)

Proud Ge Xinping, from Mengcheng in eastern China's Anhui Province, says he thought the deformed piglet would die after he was born in July.

However, after lots of time and devotion the pig has learnt how to walk on its forelegs and is now the talk of the town.

'Villagers all love it as it walks like an upside down gymnast,' Ge said.

Elsewhere in China, pig breeders are not having such luck.

More than 100 people in the Henan province have been sentenced for planning to contaminate pork with the drug, Clenbuterol, which makes the meat leaner but can have adverse affects on humans.

Known in China as 'lean meat powder', Clenbuterol continues to be laced into animal feed by farmers desperate to get their meat to market even though it is banned in the country.

A subsidiary of Shuanghui Group, China’s largest meat processor, was also found to be selling the tainted pork.

Ringleader, Liu Xiang, was sentenced to death.

Fukushima Earthquake Moved Seafloor Half a Football Field

By Mark Fischetti

The March 2011 Tohoku-Oki earthquake that decimated Japan and its Fukushima nuclear reactors with a monster tsunami altered the seafloor off the country’s eastern coast much more than scientists had thought. Analysis released today in the journal Science indicates the ocean bed moved as much as 50 meters laterally and 16 meters vertically. The magnitude 9.0 quake occurred close to the nearby Japan Trench that runs north to south in the Pacific Ocean (dark blue line on the map below).

The trench exists because the oceanic Pacific Plate (dark blue on map below) is moving westward, hitting and bending down under the continental Okhotsk Plate (light blue) from which Japan rises (green, brown). This “subduction” action creates tension within the tectonic plates, which is occasionally released in the form of earthquakes.

Although measurements from satellites and seismic ground sensors had indicated the Okhotsk Plate moved after the 9.0 temblor on March 11, the extent of the movement was not clear. Researchers at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology compared new seafloor maps made of the region this year with maps made in 1999 and were surprised by the extent of motion. For example, data along one transect (yellow marker, below) near the quake’s epicenter (black “x” on the map) indicated that the Okhotsk plate moved 50 meters east-southeast toward the trench.

Scientists a step closer to cloning mammoth

YAKUTSK, Russia — The thighbone of a mammoth found in August in Siberia contains well-preserved marrow, increasing the chances of cloning one of the extinct beasts, Japanese and Russian scientists confirmed recently.

The teams from the Sakha Republic's mammoth museum in eastern Russia and Kinki University's graduate school in biology-oriented science and technology will launch full-fledged joint research next year to clone the giant mammal, which is believed to have become extinct about 10,000 years ago, they said.

By transplanting nuclei taken from the marrow cells into elephant egg cells whose nuclei have been removed through a cloning technique, embryos with a mammoth gene could be produced and planted into elephant wombs, as the two species are close relatives, they said.

Securing nuclei with an undamaged gene is essential for the nucleus transplantation technique, but doing so from mammoths is extremely difficult and scientists have been trying to reproduce a mammoth since the late 1990s, they said.

In Feng Shui, nine sections are cordoned off by agricultural land owners; eight sections of land are cultivated, but the ninth section (in the center of the agricultural blueprint) is classified as "god's acre" and is devoted to honor the supreme and sacred.

9 is a jackpot of celestial forces to the Chinese. It means completion and satisfaction. It is a representation of high celestial congruence standard. 9 in the Chinese zodiac is the symbol of the Monkey and the Feng Shui direction is West/Southwest.

The number 9 also symbolizes harmony. In addition, the number 9 is a word for "long lasting" (久), and is often used in weddings. Nine is a sacred number; three multiplied by itself to give eternity, completion and fulfillment.

Chinese Feng Shui of the Marina Barrage

On 23 December 2008, two days before the arrival of Christmas, the Singapore Flyer came to a halt for the third time since it became operational in February. In this unexpected incident, 173 people were trapped in the world’s largest observation wheel for about 6 hours. The cease of operation of the Flyer not only dampened the spirits of those who had planned to visit the attraction on the Christmas or New Year’s Day, it also affected the business of the shops, causing them to suffer huge losses due to the decrease in the number of visitors. After more than a month of waiting, the Flyer finally re-opened on 26 January 2009.

Two months later, another misfortune occurred at Marina Bay. The iconic Merlion statue was struck by lightning on 28 February 2009, a date that is still fresh in the memories of many people. This shocking accident occurred around 4.30pm and caused the 36-year-old statue to lose a part of its top mane. Many Feng Shui masters commented that this incident will bring wealth but Grand Master Tan disagrees. In his opinion, Singapore might experience further difficulties on the economic front.

Within such a short time span, the two important tourist attractions of Singapore encountered mishaps. Coincidentally, both accidents occurred after the Marina Barrage was completed. Is there any connection between these events?

According to Grand Master Tan, Singapore is a “Dragon Land” and the Marina Bay area resembles a “Dragon Head” from the top. The region around Benjamin Sheares Bridge alludes to the whiskers of the “Dragon”, forming a unique Feng Shui formation of “Mighty Dragon Emerging from the Ocean”. However, due to the completion of the Marina Barrage, it may be regarded that the mouth of the “Mighty Dragon” is being sealed, resulting in “static” reservoir water bodies as opposed to the original “live” water bodies. The sealed mouth has caused the qi of the area to be suppressed within the reservoir, thus causing the occurrence of the various unfortunate incidents.

In Grand Master’s opinion, he suggests that Marina Barrage builds a water-jet at the mouth of the reservoir. During his trip to Switzerland, Grand Master went to the Jet d’Eau in Geneva, which is one of the largest fountains in the world. He observed the magnificent scene of the powerful water-jet, and deeply feels that Singapore’s Marina Barrage will need a water-jet like that of Geneva’s. With a huge water-jet at the mouth of the reservoir at Marina Barrage, the powerful movement of the fountain would be able to reverse the luck of Singapore by turning “static” water bodies into “live” water bodies. The water-jet will not only solve the Feng Shui problems of Singapore, it will also become another eye-catching scene for those on board the Singapore Flyer.

Hence, by building this barrage to resemble the number 9, it is to suppose to symbolize the longevity of the nation of Singapore and ever long lasting to the wealth of a prosperous Singapore. Don't forget after all that water is money! Wealth, money and income or finance is being represented by water according to the Chinese where Feng Shui is of concern.

So, is the Singapore Marina Barrage design and architecture which is being build and base according to Feng Shui done correct or wrong?

That, I will leave the conclusion to you.

UFO spotted hovering for three hours over Zhejiang Province

What's with all the UFOs these days? It's been less than two months since a UFO (still unidentified) was spotted in Hangzhou, and now another one has appeared in Zhejiang province. A bright object was visible for at least three hours over the skies of Haiyan County.
People's Daily has the full story:
Many people witnessed the UFO at the scene that evening.
"I have no idea what it is," a witness said.

The reporter found that not only was the object itself very bright in the sky, but its reflection on the river was also very eye-catching. Many residents in Haiyan County also witnessed it.

Another witness said, "It looked quite big and it seemed that it was moving."

Another bright flickering dot appeared above the object and started to move toward the object slowly when residents were discussing the unidentified object. This flickering dot was visible for about 10 minutes and started to fly toward Haining City.
Two reporters from Haiyan's local TV station followed the twinkling object in a car moving toward Haining City and took relatively clear pictures after waiting for about an hour on the flight path of the object.

According to the picture, it was a round object that had shiny blue lights, and several other flickering objects were around it.

After a while, however, reporters found that the round object had seemingly become rectangular. The object gradually flew higher and finally disappeared at around 10 p.m. about three hours after its first appearance.
