Paranormal Christmas Ghost

It began as a relaxing if curious holiday vacation at a bed and breakfast with a reputation for being haunted. What Kathy Moll encountered there that Christmas season, however, would stay with her forever.

We are all very familiar with the ghosts of Christmas that Charles Dickens introduced to us in his classic story, "A Christmas Carol." In the Dickens story, only Marley's ghost and the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come were foreboding, frightening spirits - ghosts of the type that Kathy Moll experienced during the 1999 Christmas season. Kathy and her sister Nanci and Nanci's husband Darryl were enjoying a pre-Christmas holiday at The Lauren Danielle bed and breakfast in Guthrie, Oklahoma when she encountered her own Ghost of Christmas Present. This is her true story...

I sensed something about the house when I first entered. The Lauren Danielle is a beautiful Victorian home with a colorful history. Built in 1890, the house was the home of Territorial Governor Renfro, Charles West, first State Attorney General, and later Chris Madsen, US Marshall, who used the basement as a jail (in fact, the iron bars are still intact on the windows). Listed in the National Register of Historic Homes, the wonderfully restored house is today a popular bed and breakfast in central Oklahoma, just north of Oklahoma City. On this occasion, innkeepers Cliff and Debi Judd had lavishly but tastefully decorated the home for Christmas.

But I was sensing more than the holiday spirit at The Lauren Danielle. Bear in mind that I already knew that there was a spirit cat in the house, due to the newspaper article my sister Nanci shared with me before our arriving. Debi Judd showed us around the home, beautifully appointed in period antiques. She let us take our pick of rooms. When I was offered the room downstairs near the stairs, I went to look at it. I could not even enter the room, however - the vibrations were very strong and territorial. I just stood at the door and looked in. Anyone else who did not have sensitivity to these types of vibrations would have seen a lovely room done up in golds and browns. I knew I did not want to be in there by myself. In fact, the only room I felt somewhat okay about was the room my sister eventually chose. So I took the adjoining room, which was pretty, but had a very heavy feeling to it.

Tampines Potianak account by biker

True or Fake you decide

( a story by author who do not want to be disclosed)

It was  a usual night out, I was  with my girlfriend & when she out of a sudden complained that she is not feeling well . Being the gentleman I send her home.

She was staying in Tampines and I therefore had the choice of either using the TPE (Tampines Expressway) or to cut though the Old Tampines Rd. As  it was pretty  late already, I went by  TPE.

we reached her place soon, I chatted with her parents for a while and left for home soon after. I had to decide on which route to take again. as  I was tired and hungry, therefore I decided to take the Old Tampines Rd, as it was a shorter route & it  near to Hougang where there are coffee place which i can take some snacks.

Half way through, I was beginning to feel like something is sitting behind me. It seems that My bike was heavier by the second and no matter how hard I turned the throttle, the 200cc bike could not go faster. I was running on full tank.

I felt a spooked. I sensed something  behind me and I felt something brushing on my neck. Come to think of it, it actually felt like hair! Well, I couldn’t sustain my curiosity and quickly turned my head to see what’s (or who’s) bothering me.

I had the shock of life. I saw someone, or something. I assumed it was a lady, in white, with long hair. MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… IT’S A PONTIANAK!!

She was sitting on my bike, the “kampong” style, i.e. Her legs were not across the seat but instead she was seating on the side, her legs together and facing my right direction. Thank god I didn’t get to see her face!

I didn’t spend too much time “admiring” her. In the split second, I looked back in front and focused on the road. Kept praying to myself… Please GOD help me!!

Soon I reached the main road, thank God. I sped all the way home. One piece of advise for all bikers out there, NEVER take the Old Tampines Rd at night. Never!

The Haunted TV

If there was a modern Bhutan ghost story, it must be the one woven around a television set on a ridge above Tsento village in Paro believed to be possessed. Tsento villagers say that it is the story of a talking machine that almost walked but didn’t, of an evil man’s ungratified soul that got into the TV set after his harrowing death, of an adamant ghost that beat all wizardry and exorcism by all maestro and professed-maestro exorcists and ghost-beaters.

According to locals, the possessed TV set in a village household continued to haunt the village making eerie noises – squawking and squealing – flashing images of horror even when it was left unplugged. After it had brought ill luck, disease and death to the household, the TV set was sold to someone in the neighbourhood. The buyer not only got the machine at a generous price, but also inherited a host of misfortunes. The curse followed him everywhere, tugging at his sleeves, sticking on his shoe-sole, whizzing and whirling in his hat. That petrified, scared-to-death buyer then sold the machine to another man who received the set all intact, spruce and preen, with a fuming devil dwelling inside.

And so the ghostly TV babbled and wobbled and capered, frightening adults and children alike in the entire village and its vicinity. The ghost reigned tall and dark, nameless and faceless, yet very much feared.

Then, at long last, an astrologer of fearsome repute was consulted. The revered and much celebrated astrologer counselled the villagers to get rid of the bedeviled machine altogether. So, the frenzied and curse-laden machine had to go. It was taken to a cave faraway with befitting ceremony to give it a grand farewell. And there it lay, abandoned in the sheltered quietude of a grotto high above the village for 20 years.

“You must not go up there. The accursed machine’s defiled the entire hill. Devil will tag along with you wherever you go. You will go insane and die a brutal death.” That’s how the locals warn you. That’s how they caution any curious adventurer.

Bhutan Ghost encountered by Sabrina

Here’s why, a few days before we left the capital, one of the teachers had a book that said my region (Bumthang) was known for the most ghost sightings and spiritual activity. If you’re a close friend of mine, you know that’s the last thing I wanted to hear. I have experienced way too much paranormal activity in my lifetime and ghosts freak me out more than these stray dogs. There’s something about my aura that ghosts seem to like and sometimes they try to give me messages, which always scares the crap out of me and I’m not open to it. Most people don’t worry if their new home has a spirit roaming around, but I do based on my past experiences. I was angry that I found this out right before I was to about to live alone for a year and I wanted to throw the book out of the window. However, it was too late and off I was to ghost central Bhutan.

So there I was in the heartland of Bhutan ready to be brave and face some Bhutanese ghosts. I knew that I shouldn't get comfortable in my principals alter room because I might never want to leave. I reminded myself of the power of prayer and that I could pray for protection or try to pray them away, if I felt like there were any ghosts trying to hang out with me. I wasn’t surprised that I attracted myself to the most spiritual place in Bhutan, but how do I always get the ghosts? Seriously, does anybody know why?

True Life Encounters of WereTigers in Thailand (JULY 9, 2011, Saturday )

Long ago, when I was still in diapers, toddling around the jungles of northern Thailand with my missionary folks, they had a get together with all their missionary friends.

One of the older missionaries, a wise and respected man, told this story.

“We had just moved to a new village, and several people were coming to Jesus. The local witch doctor was angry about it. We found strange things outside our door, and outside the other Christian’s doors . . . cursed items and the like. The witch doctor was powerful, but I wasn’t worried.

But one night, as I lay sleeping, I woke up and smelled a tiger (tigers have a powerful, unmistakable scent). Thinking it was underneath the hut (his hut was on stilts) I jumped out of bed to find my gun. But the Tiger was standing at the foot of my bed!

Reversing a Love spell Black magic ( Thailand)

My ex-girlfriend from 15 years ago was half Lao, half Thai. Her mother was Thai and this lady was a hardcore "researcher" on voodoo and fortune telling. She had this thick black book that she would worship like the holy bible. This book was honky huge and the text were all in fine print with some small diagrams and drawings on most of the pages. At the time I was only 20 and thought her mom sure devoting alot of time to such a useless "hobby". She did however read my fortune up about 8 years from the time of the reading with coincedental accuracy :-/ by reading my palms and face features? I was only dating the daughter for about 3 and a half years and was head over heals in love with this girl.

To keep from telling a long story, theres no doubt the parents wanted their daughter to marry me due to my family prominence and since her family were immigrants to Canada, held that so called status in very high regard. Her family often told their friends we were already engaged and not in a joking manner. If the mom truly believed a love spell exists and would work, its a certainty she would have cast the spell on me. They often lavished me with traditional food and soups when I was over.

When the daughter and I broke up, I was heartbroken and my life was turned upside down. I even dropped out of University and went down a different path in life. Thoughts of this girl pop in my head numerous times every day without fail for the last 15 years! This is simply ridiculous because I have zero intention of ever getting back together with such a money-hungry, superficial person. I've been in numerous long-term relationships and breakups over the past 15 yrs so I know what heartbreak feels like. And these daily thoughts my ex on a daily basis over this span of time are completely un-natural since I have no wish or desire to even see this girl again.

Like I mentioned earlier, I haven't heard of a Thai love spell until a few days ago and even if I had heard of such a thing, would have laughed at such a silly notion. Nevertheless, hypothetically speaking, I would like know if there is any way to reverse a love spell. Does anyone know how I might go about lifting such a spell??? I couldnt find anything on the net about it except that its suppose to last for life. Of course I definately dont want to ask my Mom or anyone I know in fear of sounding like a mental patient. lol

Love spells experience in South East Asia

You may have seen, on this forum or other forums, countless postings from self-proclaimed New Age practitioners, healers, magicians etc promising to reunite lovers, to bring back that ex-boyfriend or girlfriend you never stopped loving.
I, for one, had the privilege of experiencing this wonderful emotion called love with a man five years ago. Some may say it was my downfall to have given so much of my heart to him. He was young and immature. After being fired from his job, he left me from external pressures from worries about work, money...peers telling him he was too young to settle down, that he could do better than me...
I know full well the temptation to sell one's eternal soul just for a few kind words and moments with the man you love with all your heart. Asia's love magic industry is worth billions - Malay/Indonesian bomohs, Thai/Cambodian black magic masters abound to prey on single desperate women yearning for love, be it a new love, bringing home a straying husband or an ex-boyfriend. 99% of these are scam artists. Unfortunately, there is the 1% who are genuine practitioners of the black arts to draw these women into a living hell.
I was broken-hearted after we broke up and fell to the depths of depression. As a result, I was tempted into a dastardly world of Malay bomohs and Thai black magic masters in a desperate bid to bring him back to me. All the nastiest practices you can think of in the black arts, be it dead foetuses in bottles, wax voodoo dolls, using my ex-boyfriend's bazi, personal items etc - I did it all...and was nearly dragged into hell in the process.

Black Magic Monk/priest for Recommendation

Codex is correct and let me give you an example of a time the "love magic" backfired.

A young woman wanted to get a guy she wanted to "own" to forget his wife and love her alone.
At the time, he was my teacher; we were very close friends.

It did work to get rid of his wife; but he then fell in love with ME~ maybe b/c I was close by and he already had feelings of affection for me. However, since the young woman was successful in getting rid of the wife, she then managed to move in w/him; the lust part apparently worked.

After a while, however he tired of her and though she was a minor and made his life hell (if you get rid of me, I will tell the police who will put you in jail) and wasn't interested.

Meanwhile, she did it again. Again, he went crazy for me, still a student of his. it also worked on me as well, and I was crazy for him.

Later, after some painful time of my husband getting angry, and me pulling away, he let her this time -- the spell was one that was to make him forget me. It only made him extremely ill for the past 18 months. He is actually showing signs of schizophrenia. The young woman got tired of this and moved out...about 4 months ago now. In the past month he is getting more and more clear-eyed. Though he and I still enjoy a very close friendship it isn't crazy anymore as it was before.

Hope this helps. in conclusion, I strongly urge you NOT to engage in black magic. Even if it works it has side effects that have high cost and it doesn't last all that long, typically

Singapore did not Sink on 19 March 2011

With Disasters frequency on the increase in our century of today, speculations and worries of the sinking of Singapore began by some group of concern communities.

However Singapore did not Sink when 19th of March Year 2011 arrived ===========================================================

19 March 2011 'Supermoon' Trigger Natural Disasters? On March 19, the moon will swing around Earth more closely than it has in the past 18 years, lighting up the night sky from just 221,567 miles (356,577 kilometers) away.

On top of that, it will be full. And one astrologer believes it could inflict massive damage on the planet. Richard Nolle, a noted astrologer who runs the website astropro.com, has famously termed the upcoming full moon at lunar perigee (the closest approach during its orbit) an "extreme supermoon.

" When the moon goes super-extreme, Nolle says, chaos will ensue: Huge storms, earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters can be expected to wreak havoc on Earth. (It should be noted that astrology is not a real science, but merely makes connections between astronomical and mystical events.) But do we really need to start stocking survival shelters in preparation for the supermoon?

The question is not actually so crazy. In fact scientists have studied related scenarios for decades. Even under normal conditions, the moon is close enough to Earth to make its weighty presence felt: It causes the ebb and flow of the ocean tides. The moon's gravity can even cause small but measureable ebbs and flows in the continents, called "land tides" or "solid Earth tides," too. The tides are greatest during full and new moons, when the sun and moon are aligned either on the same or opposite sides of the Earth.

According to John Vidale, a seismologist at the University of Washington in Seattle and director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, particularly dramatic land and ocean tides do trigger earthquakes. "Both the moon and sun do stress the Earth a tiny bit, and when we look hard we can see a very small increase in tectonic activity when they're aligned," Vidale told Life's Little Mysteries, a sister site to SPACE.com. At times of full and new moons, "you see a less-than-1-percent increase in earthquake activity, and a slightly higher response in volcanoes." The effect of tides on seismic activity is greatest in subduction zones such as the Pacific Northwest, where one tectonic plate is sliding under another. William Wilcock, another seismologist at the University of Washington, explained:

"When you have a low tide, there's less water, so the pressure on the seafloor is smaller. That pressure is clamping the fault together, so when it's not there, it makes it easier for the fault to slip." According to Wilcock, earthquake activity in subduction zones at low tides is 10 percent higher than at other times of the day, but he hasn't observed any correlations between earthquake activity and especially low tides at new and full moons. Vidale has observed only a very small correlation. What about during a lunar perigee?

Can we expect more earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on March 19, when the full moon will be so close?

Chinese Hungry Ghosts Haunts USA between August and September

To the eastern culture, the calendar calendar month of the 7th moon, which is between the 2nd hebdomad of August and first hebdomad of September, is a month of hungry shades festival. This is the calendar month where the spirit of the dead or the shades are released from the world of sleep and are allowed to wander freely on earth. A Hole medal and a straw cross over your front door might just be enough in some circles to protect Hungry Ghost from invading your home, life and mind!

The Holly Blessed medal nailed to the door might just ward off a Banshee, a Vampire or a ghoul or two. But .... can ancestor ghosts still enter? Real Hungry Ghost will enter your life and demand to be fed. Precautions need to be made in months in advance. "They only want to be respected and cause you all kinds of harm for what they believe is your own good!" says Ghost Hunter Diane Chang, of San Francisco.

" Nothing but the old ways can stop these family members from coming to haunt you . And these angry hungry souls are not appeased easy. From The News: It's Ghost Season in Japan - Who You Gonna Call? - How can one stop being haunted by ghosts? In the Christianized West, holy water and crosses may help ward off ghosts, but they won't keep their Japanese counterparts, buried under Shinto or Buddhist rites, at bay. Instead, "ofuda" strips inscribed with Buddhist sutras are believed to be effective in keeping evil spirits away. Some Shinto shrines also provide "oharai," a purification ritual that removes bad omens with wooden wands and chants. -- Japan Times By Raggse J. McConnell According to long centuries old tradition, the Hungry Ghost Month is a very evil time - which began August 1 in the western calendar of every year-

On this day the locked shut the gates of the underworld open wide and fiercely, allowing real Spooks, specters and real evil angry ghosts to enter the world of mortals. At the end of the month, tradition holds the ghosts return to the underworld and the gates are slammed shut. But many ghosts do so much damage in this short time lives are ruined forever. But wait, don't you know some Hungry ghosts can move in and never leave. Oh... No! It's the most haunted month of the year! When August 1st rolls around each year be afraid be very afraid! The ghosts that can to your home have many tricks up their shrouded sleeves.

From pesky Womb ghosts to deadly anal spooks ( Also See: " Womb Ghosts --- A Womb With A Boo!" here) your life can be in serious trouble. And if your a paranormal investigator you might be at a higher risk because many ghosts know who you are and most likely where you live. None of this is a joke by any means. August has always been the month when it seems lifeless ghost gain more energy. Haunting that have laid dormant gain strength. And all paranormal mayhem breaks loose in the world of the living.

Chinese Ghost at Fault for August Stocks ?

Is the “Ghost Month” to blame for the recent rollercoaster ride in stock markets around the world? During the first two weeks of August, stock markets worldwide had a freefall, went back up again, slid again, then back up once more.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), for example: plummeted 4.31% on August 4 after credit rating agency S&P downgraded the United States declined 5.5% more on August 8 bounced back 3.98% on August 9 fell another 4.6% on August 10 but rose 3.9% on August 11 And it’s probably just starting.

U.S. stocks were not the only ones in a whirlwind these first weeks of August. As seen in the chart below, stock exchanges in the UK, Korea, Hong Kong and the Philippines all went through a crazy round of market volatility.

Sighting of four black snakelike objects

Source: Phantoms & Monsters Blog

Cainta, The Philippines - 5/12/2012 - unedited: My mother and I were on our way to a nearby mall to do our weekly groceries. While waiting for a jeepney, I looked up at the sky, remembering another UFO that my mother witnessed last month (April 9) on the exact same spot, and hoping to see it too. (We saw multiple UFOs on April 10, including what appeared to be fleets of white orbs moving westward).

Anyway, on April 9, my mother saw what she described as a transparent oblong with what appeared to be four legs with bright black balls at the ends. The entire object seemed to be rolling across the sky, moving from south to north, up in the sky along the exact middle of the main highway.

At around 12:30 noon today (May 19), while waiting for a jeepney, I quickly scanned the skies and saw floating over the gas station across the street what I first thought was a black kite. It was moving in a waving, rippling motion, much like a snake. It was large because it was obviously very high up because it appeared to sometimes go above the clouds, and yet I could see it clearly and it probably measured about an inch if I held my fingers before my face against the sky. I pointed it out to my mother and we observed the object for a few minutes. We noted that it did not have a main head or body, like a kite has. It appeared exactly like a snake, except that when we observed it closely, we noticed that it actually appeared to be like some type of black plasma that seemed to be expanding and retracting at different points along its "body." It was jet-black and had no discernible lights.

A few minutes later, my mother suddenly exclaimed, "Dalawa sila!" (There's two of them!) And sure enough, some distance to its right was another object of the exact same type, also jet-black and also writhing and undulating like a snake. This one was much larger and we could clearly see that it was not a kite or a balloon or a piece of cloth. Like I said, it appeared to me to be a stream of some sort of jet-black plasma that was undulating in the air. It sometimes also flashed in the sun like something silver and metallic, and my mother thought she saw a light suddenly flash at one end of it, but I did not see this as I was looking at the other object when this happened.

I tried to take photos and videos of the two objects with my cell phone camera, but my camera is an old model and was not able to capture the objects.

Some time later (maybe around 15 minutes), I suddenly noticed that there was another object that had come up between the first two. It looked exactly the same and moved in the exact same way. The first two on the left would sometimes roll up into themselves and descend or ascend. The one on the right, the large one, would hover for long moments (around five to ten minutes at a time) as just a straight, rigid black line, without moving or fluttering in the wind. Then it would start to undulate again. It would cycle between this pattern of hovering and not moving and remaining rigid, and undulating and writhing, throughout the almost two hours we were standing there at the jeepney stop.

All this time, we were both crying out and pointing at the sky but none of the people nearby bothered to look, which we both found strange. Anyway, apart from a group of men who were working on some sort of electrical repair out in front of their shop, there were very few people out because it was very hot and most people were having lunch, I guess.

Some time later, another object appeared, in the same general area, making it a total of four black snakelike objects writing and hovering in the sky. Some time past one, I suddenly noticed what appeared to be a blurred pink or red light farther off to our right. As we looked, it slowly "unfurled" and also became snakelike, also alternating between being straight and rigid and undulating. I also noticed that it was accompanied by what appeared to be a black orb that was circling it at first and then moving beside it and suddenly veering off to the left and disappearing.

When I moved my gaze back to the black "snakes" to the left, only two remained, and suddenly I noticed that there was an object to the left of the largest snake. It was aligned perfectly with the straight line formed by the black object. It appeared to me to be a small triangular object that emitted a pink light. When I first noticed it, it was hovering along with the black snake, but then it started moving in different directions. It was not fluttering like a kite or wobbling like a balloon. It was moving slowly in deliberate motions. Suddenly, it seemed to plunge downward. As it did, it became what seemed to be a silvery disk, and as it plunged further down, it suddenly became larger and became a large, deep black circle with a hole or light in the middle. When it reached a certain altitude, where I could see it right over the rooftops, it moved slowly to the right and suddenly moved up again and become again what seemed like a triangular pink star, or rather, three pink stars connected to each other to form a triangle. We watched this object move and plunge down and up again repeatedly, until we both realized that we were shaking with hunger.

Around 2:15, we hesitantly left our spot to buy food at a nearby convenience store. When we returned, the black snakelike thing was gone and only the pink triangle remained, It still kept plunging and seemingly changing shape and then ascending again. We watched this for around 15 to 20 minutes more but my mother insisted that we need to get going. I very reluctantly agreed because we did need to get back home early.

We boarded a jeepney and I briefly saw the object again when we passed by an open space between buildings. It was nearer here and I could clearly see that it was three circular objects that were joined together to form a triangle, and it was rolling and falling and moving sideways and just seemingly dancing up there in the sky. It was amazing. I still could not believe we saw all that today. I have to admit I thought instantly of Quetzalcoatl when we saw those sky "serpents," whatever they were. I tried to look it up online when we got home but apart from a couple of reports, I could not find anything similar to what we witnessed today.

I could crush you

Source: Michael Hesemann, UFOS: The Secret History

Bourgata, Israel - May 30, 1993 - 3:00 a.m.

Hannah Somech woke up when she heard her dog barking. She got up and went downstairs from her bedroom to the kitchen and looked out the garden through the glass door when she saw her dog literally flying through the air and slam against a wall. Shocked and terrified she bravely opened the door but was confronted by an invisible wall: she could not go any further. Then she saw an eight-foot tall giant in bright coveralls.

A thief, she thought. “You think I am a thief?” she heard inside her head. “What did you do with my dog”, she asked furiously. “He disturbed me, as you do now,” the giant spoke telepathically, without moving his lips. “I could crush you, but I don’t want to. Just leave me alone, I am busy.” The woman ran back to the bedroom to wake up her husband, but when both came down, the giant had disappeared.

In the garden, they found huge footprints, 1 foot, 4 inches in length. Later, circles appeared too, again covered by the reddish cadmium based liquid. After the encounter Hannah suffered severely from fatigue, headaches and muscle pain.

Dancing Down an Indian Hallway in Darkness

Source: xpost from nosleep

My cousin recently moved here from Secunderabad, India. On a recent road trip exploring America, we were shootin shit and exchanging ghost stories and laughing at similarities and differences between American ghost stories and Indian ghost stories when I asked her if she's ever experienced anything supernatural. Her eyes widened as she averted her eyes to the window. Just when the silence was about to be too much for me, she softly responded "Yes. A few. One is troubling."

"When I was a second year in college, I stayed at in an all-girl hostel [dorm]. I made many friends. We were all very happy to be in school away from our conservative parents. The hostel was so much fun, but it was a very very old building. Electricity was only put in the rooms. Sometimes, candles were placed along the windows if a watchman was present, but normally once you left the rooms, you were faced with complete darkness. It's common to wake up someone if you needed to walk down to the restroom at the end of the hall. We all had a childish fear of being alone in the dark.

One night, I had to use the restroom. It was about 4am. I went to my friend's bed and tapped her on the arm. She immediately opened her eyes as soon as I touched her. I apologized for bothering her, and told her I needed to pee. She smiled at me and hopped out of bed. All the way down the hallway, she laughed and danced. I could not see her at all, but her bangles clanked together loudly and the bells on her anklets jingled softly. It was very calming. I laughed and sashayed my hips down the hallway with her, too tired to match elaborate arm movements. She said nothing to me, though occasionally I heard her hum one of our favorite bollywood songs. The same thing happened on our return. I fell back asleep easily.

I awoke fairly late the next morning to the sound of men in our room. They surrounded her bed. I bolted from my bed, prepared to protect my friend, when I realized they were administrators of the college. I peered over closer. My friend's lifeless eyes were fixated on my bed; the same smile on her face. Suicide. Her time of death was 11:30pm, almost 5 hours before I woke her."

The Invisible People

In the early 1990s I worked in a large plantation in the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The plantation was situated south of Lake Toba, and was in hilly terrain.
All the executives' houses were constructed in a straight line on top of a low hill. My house was the second one in the row. In the front of our houses were a few rows of oil palm trees. After this the hill sloped off into a valley. As it was too steep to plant on this slope, it became covered over with undergrowth and small jungle trees. The valley itself was a riot of all sorts of tropical creepers, weeds and larger trees. On the other side of the valley, the slope was terraced and planted with rubber trees.

As I was new to the country then, and just learning the language, I kept mostly to myself after work and pored over an Indonesian dictionary every night. Other than satellite TV, we had no other entertainment. On weekdays we hit the sack early as we had to get up at five the next morning for work.

Even from my first week there, I noted that there was some sort of celebration or prayer meeting every Wednesday evening straight opposite my home. Although I saw no one, I concluded that this must be the case, as precisely at half past six, I heard the sound of metal drums. This sound went on for about half an hour or one hour, and then stopped as suddenly as it began. When I asked my house help as to what was going on there, she just shrugged her shoulders and did not reply. I thought it was impolite or improper to ask about such matters, and did not bother to question her about it anymore.

As I got to know the plantation better, my curiosity about this drumming became deeper. I knew that there were no houses or buildings in the valley in front of my home. On the hill beyond the valley too there were no homes or other buildings. Yet every Wednesday, the drumming appeared to be coming from somewhere very close- almost as if from the valley!

Finally, as tactfully as possible, I asked some of my assistants as to what the sound was and from where it was coming. They just smiled at me and said, ' Itu orang Bunian ' ( It's the Bunian people ). I did not wish to look silly by asking them what the Bunian people were, and so I just said, ' Oh ' and nodded in agreement.

There was an assistant there who was particularly close to me. I asked him in confidence as to what these Bunian people were. He replied that they were invisible people, somewhat similar to the gnomes and fairies of Western folklore. They liked living near humans and sometimes got friendly with some of them. There were stories about how some human males married Bunian females and went on to be accepted in the Bunian community. They however became invisible to other humans as soon as they entered the Bunian community. Humans could ask for help from the Bunians. If a person was having a feast and did not have enough cutleries for the occasion, plates could be borrowed from the Bunian people. Great care however must be taken that not a single plate is broken.

I asked this assistant as to how he could prove that the drumming was made by the orang Bunian. He replied that on one Wednesday, two other assistants determined to find out once and for all from where the sound issued. Armed with torchlights and long knives, they proceeded to look for the source of the sound as soon as it started. They descend all the way into the valley and travelled up quite a distance on the hill on the other side, and still the sound appeared to be coming from just a short distance in front of them. As it had already gotten dark by then, they abandoned their quest and hurried back home.

Filipino Gnomes

Source: Phantom and Monsters Blog

After my grandpa died, I think it was about four years ago at the Philippines, my older cousin was with us out side talking and we had toy guns that shoot out little plastic rubber bullets. When we were talking about going to the megamall, my cousin looked at the bushes and he saw a little tiny foot. When he said that, we had been shooting our toy guns at the bushes. A lot of little people's heads started to come out staring at my cousin, trying to tell us to stop shooting at them. I couldn't see anything - no feet or no little heads of a gnome.

Finally, he told us to stop. After that we got really scared, so we ran inside and told our parents. One hour after that happened, we went to my grandma's house and my cousin that saw a gnome that was really sick. So a couple of days later they called a witch doctor to come and heal him. My cousin said they had pointy hats they were small and dressed in green and they had a skinny little stick that they use to play as a flute.

My Aunt Mai and the Neglected Boy

Source: Your Ghost Stories

This an old story that happened a long time ago back in Laos. This was the story that happened to my aunt, my mom's sister. My aunt Mai was the eldest unwed girl in her village at the age of 17. So she was the mother figure to a lot of the children in the neighborhood.

There was a young boy at the age of 6 that Mai took care of day in and day out, because his parents were constantly arguing and violence was involved. Divorce is considered to be a disgrace and one would rather die than have a divorce back then.

One night, the little boy ended up at Mai's front door, shivering. Mai took him in and warmed the boy up. The boy said his parents were arguing all night, then it was silent and he noticed that he was home alone. Now these were not regular insulated homes, the homes, back then, were just huts made of banana leaves and twigs.

The entire village must have heard them arguing that night, but ignored it. Morning came and the boy's parents still did not come to claim the boy. Mai took the boy next door to his house and knocked on the door, yet no one opened. Night came and Mai heard voices coming from the little boy's house. So she took the boy and went next door. She kicked the door open and to her surprise she saw another woman in the arms of the boy's father. Mai apologized for intruding but explained the reason why she was there - to bring his son home.

Days turned into weeks, no one in the village heard or seen of the boy's mother since that night. The mother's parents came to the house demanding to speak with their daughter but the boy's father would say she had left with another man. The village knew the mother was not the type to do such a thing, and gossips filled the community that he had murdered her but there wasn't enough evidence to prove it. The father went around the county with his new bride, leaving his only son to Mai to take care of. The boy was not sad, did not mention he missed his mother, nor did he shed a tear for her... Mai got concerned.

One morning, Mai went to pick up the boy from his house. The boy came out of the house, waved in the direction of his father - his father who wasn't looking at him - and came out of the house with a smile. Mai asked him why he was so happy. He said his mother is taking him away from here. Mai was confused, she asked, "Where IS your mother?" The little boy replied, "Dad loves her a lot now, every day he carries her on his back." Mai's mouth dropped. The boy said, "Just look at them, aren't they happy" as he looked into the house toward his father. Mai looked inside, she only saw the father's back turned facing them with his new wife cooking - no sign of the mother.

My aunt said a week after that the little boy mysteriously passed away. Some said it was due to an illness that he contracted and since they lived in the rural, nothing could save him but my aunt said it was because his mother came to get him away from his horrible father.

A rare abduction scenario from Israel

Source: Gil Bar, UFOs in Israel Timeline through Phantom and Monsters Blog

by Albert Rosales

Location: Al Sarafand, Israel - 1967 - night

A local resident watched a luminous egg-shaped object land nearby. As he watched he heard a telepathic message inviting him very amicably to enter. He accepted the invitation and entered the object through an opened hatch. Inside he was met by several short gray creatures with large hairless heads and huge black eyes.

He then noticed what appeared to be several ‘operating tables’, and begged the aliens not to examine him. He exited the object and walked backwards keeping his eyes on the object when suddenly a bright beam of light struck him on his stomach and sent him flying a distance of several meters. When he was able to move again the object had vanished. That same night other local residents reported seeing a bright UFO in the sky.
