Singapore Marina Barrage Has Feng Shui

Contributed by : Chan ShiJie (陈世杰)

Photobucket

Feng Shui is the Number 9

Photobucket

However, the barrage is built according to Feng Shui design just like the Marina Bay Sands, Suntec City and many other more.

The Feng Shui of it is built to resemble the number 9

The number 9 according to the Chinese as well as to many other religions is definitely a good number, an auspicious number.

To the Chinese

In Feng Shui, nine sections are cordoned off by agricultural land owners; eight sections of land are cultivated, but the ninth section (in the center of the agricultural blueprint) is classified as "god's acre" and is devoted to honor the supreme and sacred.

9 is a jackpot of celestial forces to the Chinese. It means completion and satisfaction. It is a representation of high celestial congruence standard. 9 in the Chinese zodiac is the symbol of the Monkey and the Feng Shui direction is West/Southwest.

The number 9 also symbolizes harmony. In addition, the number 9 is a word for "long lasting" (久), and is often used in weddings. Nine is a sacred number; three multiplied by itself to give eternity, completion and fulfillment.

Chinese Feng Shui of the Marina Barrage

This article is by Master Tan Koon Yong of Wayonnet:

Photobucket

On 23 December 2008, two days before the arrival of Christmas, the Singapore Flyer came to a halt for the third time since it became operational in February. In this unexpected incident, 173 people were trapped in the world’s largest observation wheel for about 6 hours. The cease of operation of the Flyer not only dampened the spirits of those who had planned to visit the attraction on the Christmas or New Year’s Day, it also affected the business of the shops, causing them to suffer huge losses due to the decrease in the number of visitors. After more than a month of waiting, the Flyer finally re-opened on 26 January 2009.

Photobucket

Two months later, another misfortune occurred at Marina Bay. The iconic Merlion statue was struck by lightning on 28 February 2009, a date that is still fresh in the memories of many people. This shocking accident occurred around 4.30pm and caused the 36-year-old statue to lose a part of its top mane. Many Feng Shui masters commented that this incident will bring wealth but Grand Master Tan disagrees. In his opinion, Singapore might experience further difficulties on the economic front.

Photobucket

Within such a short time span, the two important tourist attractions of Singapore encountered mishaps. Coincidentally, both accidents occurred after the Marina Barrage was completed. Is there any connection between these events?

According to Grand Master Tan, Singapore is a “Dragon Land” and the Marina Bay area resembles a “Dragon Head” from the top. The region around Benjamin Sheares Bridge alludes to the whiskers of the “Dragon”, forming a unique Feng Shui formation of “Mighty Dragon Emerging from the Ocean”. However, due to the completion of the Marina Barrage, it may be regarded that the mouth of the “Mighty Dragon” is being sealed, resulting in “static” reservoir water bodies as opposed to the original “live” water bodies. The sealed mouth has caused the qi of the area to be suppressed within the reservoir, thus causing the occurrence of the various unfortunate incidents.

Photobucket

In Grand Master’s opinion, he suggests that Marina Barrage builds a water-jet at the mouth of the reservoir. During his trip to Switzerland, Grand Master went to the Jet d’Eau in Geneva, which is one of the largest fountains in the world. He observed the magnificent scene of the powerful water-jet, and deeply feels that Singapore’s Marina Barrage will need a water-jet like that of Geneva’s. With a huge water-jet at the mouth of the reservoir at Marina Barrage, the powerful movement of the fountain would be able to reverse the luck of Singapore by turning “static” water bodies into “live” water bodies. The water-jet will not only solve the Feng Shui problems of Singapore, it will also become another eye-catching scene for those on board the Singapore Flyer.

Photobucket

9 for the Marina Barrage Means

Photobucket

Hence, by building this barrage to resemble the number 9, it is to suppose to symbolize the longevity of the nation of Singapore and ever long lasting to the wealth of a prosperous Singapore. Don't forget after all that water is money! Wealth, money and income or finance is being represented by water according to the Chinese where Feng Shui is of concern.

So, is the Singapore Marina Barrage design and architecture which is being build and base according to Feng Shui done correct or wrong?

That, I will leave the conclusion to you.

China job ads discriminate against Scorpio and Virgo

Chinese managers have placed job advertisements that tell people born under certain zodiac signs not to apply.

A Chinese firm has decided Scorpios and Virgos are too moody and critical, telling job seekers with those star signs they need not apply. Capricorns, Pisces and Libras, on the other hand, are welcome.

The unusual requirements are part of a job ad posted at a university in the central city of Wuhuan by an English language training company, and have generated a storm of online controversy since they were uncovered this week.

"We don't want Scorpios or Virgos, and Capricorns, Pisces and Libras will be prioritised," the job spec reads, according to the Chutian Metropolis Daily, a local newspaper in Wuhan.

The report quoted a woman in charge at the unnamed firm as saying she had done research and found Scorpios had strong personalities and were moody, while Virgos were hugely critical and did not stay in one job for long.

Commentary on the Feng Shui of Bedok Reservoir

by Master Orthodox Occultist Oregon Chang

With the recent happenings at Bedok Reservoir, many Feng Shui masters, paranormal investigators have been visiting the place.

There are 2 different types of Feng Shui. One is for the living and the other is for the dead.

From what people have been discussing in forums, websites and other hearsay, certain group of people had believed that indeed Bedok Reservoir has very good Feng Shui but however the problem and biggest mistake could have just been that it is a good Feng Shui location for the dead and not for the living.

If this location is a Feng Shui location for the dead, to use this place to sustain life for the living by turning it into a reservoir and creating activities and life such as water sports on the reservoir will only make things worse.

The Shape of the Reservoir both by the Feng Shui master of team Asia Paranormal and Lucia Lu as well as a few more other had mentioned that it has a shape of a human skull or head.

Please do kindly refer to our earlier postings to refresh yourself a little:
1) Is Bedok Reservoir cursed with bad Feng Shui?
2) What is wrong with Bedok Reservoir?
3) Is Bedok Reservoir Cursed

Photobucket

To make things worse it appears to be a human skull or head in some blinding position and it also trapped in the middle surrounded by roads with no where to go to. This trapped human is very confused, having blurred vision, sad, having agony and stressed as a result of such. Some of the new buildings that blocked the horizons of this human line of sight make it even worst and not forgetting the sharp object pointing to the eyes which makes this person feeling very threatened !

Take a look at some good Feng Shui in comparison, the Jurong Lake near to the Lakeside and Chinese Garden MRT:

Photobucket

Are you able to see a hidden Chinese unicorn in the Lake, itself? This should be auspicious.

Next let's take a look at the Chinese Garden Map:

Photobucket

Are you able to see a close or similar resemblance of the Chinese TAO or DAO (道) symbol ? Within the Yin there is a Yang and Within the Yang there is a Yin in it. This place is very well balance. There is good circulation of the Yin and Yang.

In fact, Chinese Art of Feng Shui has always played a very important role in many cases and event as well as people.

Next, we look at some places with bad Feng Shui:

Photobucket

The one on the left is a palace of the Choson dynasty (Joseon Dynasty) of Korea. Due to a mistake in Feng Shui of the new location of the palace as the Red Phoenix is running away which was being overlooked by the Feng Shui masters engaged by the King, the Dynasty began to decline and came to an end.

The One in the Middle is the famous Taj Mahal of India in which too many feng shui masters has already spoke of how bad the Feng Shui is which it had affected the king's health and lead to fall of the King eventually.

Finally the one on the Right is the map of the Ming dynasty tomb. The tomb of one of the emperors is being placed wrongly and it lead to the fall of the Ming Dynasty.

Lastly, not everything in this world in due to Feng Shui.

Feng Shui can only be part of it.

This article itself is only but just a commentary on the Feng Shui of Bedok Reservoir and not a conclusion.

As whether to believe or not, is it pure superstition, occult, coincidence or others, this we the Team of Asia Paranormal leave for you as the readers to decide.

Is Bedok Reservoir cursed with bad Feng Shui?

by Oregon Chang with team members

Within the past few months, several incidents occurred in Bedok Reservoir where several bodies were pulled out of the water. A total of 6 accidents occurred in the waters, where at total of 7 people were recovered. Only 1 of these people was lucky to have survived. The others perished in the waters.

There is a saying among the Chinese that: One is an incident, two is an accident, three is a coincidence and if there is four or more then there absolutely must be more than to meets the eye! It is not so simple any more.

Do you believe in this saying?

In our first article, Bedok Reservoir Cursed?, we had discussed whether this place is cursed.

In our follow up posting What is wrong with Bedok Reservoir?, we have proposed that the incidents in Bedok Reservoir are very much likely of a coincidence and convenience. But unfortunately, another case occurred over the past weekend!

As the situation seem to somewhat becomes more serious, Team Asia Paranormal decided to take a look and explore the place itself.

A map of the reservoir

Life buoys can be found quite easily throughout the reservoir

We had in mind this time that there could be a possibility of Feng Shui problems; hence we brought along our Feng Shui equipments and some gadgets to check if what we suspect is indeed really the case.

A Feng Shui compass and a "Ghost Radar" app on iPhone

If you can still remember, we had previously mentioned of some sharp object blinding the eyes of the human, base the map of Bedok Reservoir.

It had somewhat seem that Lucia Lu the China geomancer had that 1 or 2 point in common with team Asia Paranormal's own geomancer, which is about the human head.

In fact there is even an old rumour that we had learnt in which the source and validity cannot be traced and confirmed. This old rumour speaks of that several years ago some Feng Shui master mentioned before that bedok is not suitable for humans accommodations. So is everything coming true now? That we leave it to you.

The so called "Dragon Throat" and "Sharp object"

When we arrived, the reservoir does indeed seem to be convenient as there are bus stops and residential areas nearby.

But however, we do notice that there were many life buoys available at many points. The place overall does seem to be well lighted up.

We also spotted a petrol car patrolling the reservoir. There were many night joggers in the place even up to the wee hours. There were people fishing, having picnic and all sort merry making activities at the place. We even saw quite a few couples having a stroll, and dating there.

A view of the reservoir at night. Notice the orb we captured circled in red

Even though it was late at night, the place was still peaceful, beautiful and quite busy. Hence to really commit suicide totally unseen, unknown, unheard and undetected, it really does not seem too possible, even though and despite that the place is too accessible and convenient.

We didn't really detect anything wrong with the place in the beginning. This was based on our gut feeling though. It was just a ordinary park and reservoir.

A platform. More orbs captured.

We later proceeded to put our Feng Shui stuffs to a test, it does somehow seem to have a little problem on the place. The architecture is not really built to Feng Shui concepts and theory, generally as to speak.

The team members using the Feng Shui measuring tape

This measuring tape measures whether a certain length, width or height is according to good or bad Feng Shui. We measured the fence and barriers of the platform and found out they did not really indicate good Feng Shui.

We had even tried to match it with western technology with the use of Ghost Radar, an iPhone app. This app supposedly tries to detect any electromagnetic signals in the surrounding areas; however it is up to your own conclusions about what the signals really are.

The Ghost Radar detecting a weak signal (Green)

We eventually reach to the sharp object area that we had mentioned in our earlier posting.

The "sharp object" area. Directly opposite is Temasek Poly

Perhaps a coincidence or perhaps not, the negative energy or the so called Yin was really too strong over there. We have received a lot of readings in that area. The Ghost Radar indicated a strong signal while the compass indicated negative energy.

Very strong signal detected (Red)

Something wrong with the energy in this area?

It seems that the possibility of accidents taking place at that spot had a very high chance. Even without our equipments and gadgets, at a glance, the place does not feel right. The place was rather deserted and dark, compared to the other areas.

To make things worst, we had discovered some unusual offerings in that area. The usual way of how Chinese make offerings to the dead had a lot of similarities and it is not like what we had seen. There were bowls of cookies and cups of what we think are soft drinks. However, something was missing and that was joss sticks and candles.

There is something too wrong about the offering and it very difficult to explain and elaborate. It is just very unusual.

We also spotted a floating object in the water nearby. To us, it seems like a ball or a floating buoy. However, the weird thing is that there was only one in the water alone. We were still not certain of what exactly is that object we saw.

Pic of this weird area. The first circle in the middle is where the weird offerings are located. The other circle to the top right is where the weird floating object is.

The weird floating object

The weird floating object

We also took a close up photograph of the weird offerings, but mysteriously the photo did not show up on our cameras later. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide that here.

As we were examining the place closely, suddenly we heard noise in that area which sounded like something had fallen or jumped into the water. Although we looked deep and used all our flashlights to light up that dark area, there was nothing we could see.

Was it someone just threw something into the water? One of the team members suggested it could be a frog jumping into the water. But she later pointed out that we had walked quite a distance round the reservoir, and it was the first time we heard frogs splashing into the water.

Or was it the incident somewhat “repeating itself”? Did the spirit of the suicide victims decided to repeat the process of jumping into the water? The feeling of the place is too problematic and wrong. Finally we had decided to leave the place.

At the carpark area, I then revealed to my team that I thought the floating object in the water looked like a head from a certain angle, but I was not too sure about it.

Team Asia Paranormal then packed up and left the reservoir.

Currently, the number of bodies pulled out from that reservoir totals 7 and we definitely do not wish that there will be 8 body or even more than that from this reservoir. This is definitely not anything good for Singapore.

Team Asia Paranormal do not support or encourage people to end their lives.

No doubt the stress and pressure level in the daily lives of the working class in Singapore is among the highest in the world. But ending your life will not solve anything. If you at your wits' end, depressed, troubled, please seek help. There are many hotlines, organizations and associations in Singapore that can help you with your problems. You are never alone and never alone to face anything. There are people around who love you.

As we end this article, we would like to once again strong advise and emphasize to everyone, treat life seriously. Life is full of meaning and purpose and it is just too precious. Live life to your fullest and make every best out of it.

How birth order and the zodiac can affect your job

Do you ever feel like you were just born to do your job?

According to a recent study conducted by CareerBuilder, there just might be some truth into that.

The survey, which was conducted between May 18 and June 8, 2011, among 5,708 workers compared workers in terms of chosen profession, title and salary compared workers based on birth order, astrological sign and sibling status.

Some of the interesting findings of the study is that Virgo, Aries and Scorpio signs are the most likely to earn six figures. Capricorn and Leo signs are the most likely to hold an upper management position (VP and above) with more Capricorns in C-level jobs.

People who were born under the Aries sign are most likely to work in middle management while Aquarius is the most likely to hold an entry-level job.

The study found that while workers will fall into different job levels, earning brackets and many different types of professions, there are certain job types that appear to attract some segments more than others.

Take a look at the gallery below to see more of the findings of their study.

Korean Master Jannet Shin's Prediction For Chinese New Year

This is one of the busiest times of the year for saju masters as people want to foresee their New Year’s fortune. Some may call it ``To-Jeong bi-gyeol,’’ or the secret reading of To-Jeong, an eccentric scholar and astronomer from the Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910). Though not an established historical fact, it is believed that To-Jeong was made to write a book on divination in order to read people’s fortune by the months of the year.

Reading one’s New Year’s fortune through saju is not identical with that of To-Jeong bi-gyeol, however, because the methods and theoretical background of the two are different. Many people ask me why their New Year’s saju is different from the reading of To-Jeong. It is different because saju analyzes the energy connection between the year’s pillar (comprised of stem and branch) and one’s saju (all four pillars of one’s birth).

For example, the year 2011 has a metal stem and wood branch, so we need to watch how this New Year’s energy will affect one’s destiny as defined by saju.

As a saju master, I developed my ability to code and decode one’s birth signs, convert the information into a visual image and sense the energy circulation in the saju. It involves hearing, seeing, picturing, sensing and reasoning the signs produced by saju.

Although it is not a supernatural ability, it often surprises people and they disclose their hidden troubles and hopes to me in search of answers.

Here is the saju of a couple who wanted to know how their relationship in 2011 would compare with last year’s.

The saju of the woman, written on the left, has yang water day master, which is represented by lakes or seas. The saju of a man has yang wood day master, which is represented by a large tree.

Now, if we focus on their compatibility as a couple, we first need to compare their day masters, in this case, it is the relationship between water and wood. According to the five elemental circulation cycle, water generates wood, as when we water plants to grow. It suggests that the woman will be favorable for the man, and will try to help him when he needs her.

In reality, she was the one who gifted him with matching diamond rings for his birthday present, and paid his monthly bills although he also had a stable occupation.

Some letters in their saju are marked with a red arrow ― these are yang metal, yin fire, and yang wood. She has three letters marked while he has one. These represent daring and fierce properties; the more of these that are possessed, the more aggressive the personality.

With three arrows in her saju, the woman shows an aggressive and expressive tendency, with a difficulty of hiding her emotions. On top of that, 2010 also carries the active trait, which causes conflict not only within her saju, but also his.

Upon reading this, I said that they fought a lot in 2010 and even on that day they had visited me, which may end their relationship. She was surprised to hear this: it was usually her to begin the arguments, then end them.

The year 2011 also has a metal and wood combination, but it contains no fierce traits. So if she can maintain the relationship through January, they will become more settled with the start of the year (following the lunar calendar, which starts the New Year on Feb. 3.).

The energy of saju letters are neither separated nor blocked. On the contrary, they interact with one another, so when the energy of a year is added to a person’s saju, it creates multi-dimensional occurrences. It may reduce turbulence in one person’s life, but cause new whirlwind trouble for another.

Consequently, reading one’s destiny by saju is not something that can be done once. Within the larger picture, one’s life responds, reacts and develops according to the constantly changing environment, which means that each new year will bring new trials and triumphs.

2011 Chinese Year of Rabbit Predictions Forecasts

Forecast Horoscope Year of the Rabbit

Those born under the sign of the Rabbit will have a good year this year, and, in addition, the lucky sign of the rabbit will bring luck to everybody else as well. Thus speaks the Chinese Zodiac Horoscope. Chinese predictions or forecasts foretell that those born in the year of the Rabbit will truly have a wonderful year in love, in art, in all else.

So, t's that time of the year when Chinese Predictions or forecasts are important and fun to look at. According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2011 is the Chinese year of the rabbit. It has the same characteristics as those born in the year of the rabbit. Those years include 1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 19515, 1963, 1975, 1987 and 1999. The Chinese Zodiac year always begins on the new moon of the new year and ends on the full moon. The Chinese year, like the Jewish year, is a lunar calendar, and so always starts on a different date. In 2011, it starts on 3rd February and end o the 22nd January, 2012.

It is the inner character and nature of the rabbit astrology sign that will reflect the year, 2011. According to the Chinese Zodiac, Rabbits, are refined, gracious, quiet, good manners, intellectual, homebodies who enjoy their privacy. Specifically, though, 2011 is the year of the metal rabbit, reflecting those rabbits born in 1951. Rabbits generally hate confrontation, although the metal rabbit is a bit more assertive than other rabbits. Rabbits are also very lucky.

Many countries, heavily in debt, will continue to be heavily in debt, not wanting to resolve the issues as the issues are too intense. Rabbits are pacifists and countries will lean towards inaction rather than action. This will lead, in the longer run, to things being more difficult in 2012. Corporate business will continue to look after its own interests in the same way that the rabbit will be concerned look after its own creature comforts.

As the rabbit protects its home from other elements, so countries will begin to withdraw from the global community and be more concerned with what is happening in their own backyards. With this in mind, there’s going to be a lot more talk about different standards in currencies and increased barriers to trade.

The home is extremely important to the rabbit and so more attention will be paid to the mortgage market, although it is not certain how this will play out. It will be an important issue, though.

As the rabbit has a deep and abiding love of art, so 2011 will bring increased interests in the arts. As the rabbit hates war, so there’s be increasing resistance to current wars being fought.

Those that are born in the year of the rabbit will find that it will be an exceptionally lucky for them, although those born in 1951 might find it just a mite tougher. So, it is probably wise if they are doubly diligent in their efforts. Artistic ventures are likely to be successful.

Chinese 12 Zodiacs ( 华人十二生肖)

The 12 Chinese animals

There are 12 animals in total and each of them is given a year as one of the zodiacs animals.

These 12 in the namely order of the race result are as follows :

  1. Rat
  2. Ox ( Water Buffalo in Vietnam)
  3. Tiger (Leopard in Kazakhstan)
  4. Rabbit ( Cat in Vietnam)
  5. Dragon ( Naga in Thailand , Snail in Kazakhstan)
  6. Snake
  7. Horse
  8. Goat
  9. Monkey
  10. Rooster
  11. Dog
  12. Pig ( Wild Boar in Japan)

Origins of the 12 Zodiacs / Horoscopes

Origins of the 12 Zodiac / Horoscope had a few versions. Some spoke of a great race held by the Jade Emperor, while others spoke of the departure of Buddha from this earth and the animal which came in to bid him goodbye. However a few would also spoke of a banquet held by God.

There are at least 3 versions of this Great Race if not more.

Zodiac Meeting ! A race to reach the gates of Heavens

A very long time ago,, with the intentions of assigning an animal each to a year for the humans to remember the Zodiac cycle, The Jade Emperor held upon a meeting for all of the animals and told them that only 12 of them will be chosen as Zodiac Animals.

Legends spoke that Dog, Cat and Rat, all 3 of them were once very good friends but however no longer anymore after this great race.

The Cat had reminded the Rat to wake him early so that they could go together. But the Cat was a sleepyhead and overslept. The Rat didn’t bother to wake up the Cat and very quietly and secretly left for the meeting alone.

The Cat had tried to conceal about this Meeting by the Jade Emperor from the Dog and the Dog came to learn about this zodiac meeting late and arrived for the meeting late where it could have arrived earlier. The Dog was so closed to have missed the chance of attending the meeting and being denied from being one of the Zodiac animals.

Henceforth, Cat hated the Rat and they both were enemies while the Dog hated the Cat and they both are enemies.

The order of the zodiac animals were based on the order that they arrived for the meeting.

In this race to arrive for the meeting, the Rat jumped onto the back from animal to animal of whichever was the fastest. Finally seeing that the Ox was leading first, the Rat jumped onto it’s back.

Somewhere just before the Ox reached the finishing point, the Rat jumped down in front of the Ox and was hence the positioned as the first zodiac animals.

Wobbly Earth Means Your Horoscope Is Wrong

If you look to your horoscope for a preview of your day, look again: You're probably following somebody else's supposed fate.

Thanks to Earth's wobble, astrological signs are, well, bunk. (Or even more bunk than you might expect.) Astrological signs are determined by the position of the sun relative to certain constellations on a person's day of birth. The problem is, the positions were determined more than 2,000 years ago. Nowadays, the stars have shifted in the night sky so much that horoscope signs are nearly a month off. [Read: Why Your Horoscope for 2011 Is All Wrong]

"Astrology tells us that the sun is in one position, whereas astronomy tells us it's in another position," said Joe Rao, SPACE.com's skywatching columnist and a lecturer at New York's Hayden Planetarium.

Fengshui Master's Viewpoint on Merlion Struck by lightning

The Toto optimists see it as a sign that the worst is over for Singaporeans, speculating that the Merlion could have - heroically - sucked the 'suay' (bad luck) out of our way forward.

Who you gonna believe? Who you gonna call?

We called the fengshui experts - and were left as dumbstruck (pardon the pun) as our precious Merlion.

The geomancy experts, too, were divided.
Geomancer John Lok, who runs Fengshui0011.com, said the event could have positive implications.

'As the Merlion was hit by light on its head, it could signify that Singaporeans will be able to see more clearly, as this is a wake-up call to all Singaporeans.

'This year - the (Chinese) zodiac Year of the Ox - has a sign which represents 'ugly' or 'clown'. As a result, there will be some superficial events occurring, such as the lightning strike on the Merlion

Another geomancer, Master Lim Koon Hian of San Yen Geomancy Centre, agreed. He said the event signified that Singaporeans would experience a wake-up call, and a greater understanding of events around them.

Fengshui master Gwee Kim Woon, who runs Fulu Geomancy Centre, told Lianhe Wanbao that the lightning strike had only damaged a small portion of the Merlion's head, and not the entire head.

'This could mean that it has averted a more serious disaster,' he said.

He added that, judging from the Merlion's position, it is possible that the lightning strike could bring about a release of good fortune in Singapore.

He explained that the lightning strike could be interpreted as the 'ignition' of wealth and luck for Singapore.

Chinese Face Readers Observe Moles

by wierdaisanews

While most folks in the Western world swear by astrology and tarot cards, fortune tellers in China go by an age old system of physiognomy revolving around mole reading. According to this system, knowledgeable practitioners can predict certain events of a person’s life based on the location and color of moles.

Typically, certain parts of the face and body were deemed lucky spots for having moles.

In the same way, there were specific spots which, when spotted with one or more moles, signified bad luck for the person.

On the same note, the color of the mole played a significant role in predictions. Thus, fortune tellers fussed over pure black or red moles whilst they were usually wary of mixed colored moles.
